TeliaSonera, owner of the first commercial LTE network in the world, only launched their advanced network 3 months ago, yet those crazy Swedes can’t get enough bandwidth and are upgrading their service to offer a theoretical maximum speed of 100 Mbps.
We’ve seen early benchmarks hit a peak speed of 43 Mbps, yet only maintain ~ 12 Mbps throughput, and more recent benchmarks show 45 Mbps peak and ~ 25 Mbps of consistent throughput, so this upgrade to a theoretical 100 Mbps should literally double what’s already out there now.
Press Release, originally in Swedish, but now shoved through Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Translate, after the jump.
